Exercise N03B
This is the second of two exercises that are found in Lecture 9, Particles and Physics Processes. Exercise 3B begins on slide number 25.
Steps ExN03B
Definition
- Click on Append in the particle table.
- The editor will ask you to choose a particle in the panel.
- Choose an electron and click on Append a second time: the electron should appear on the main panel.
- Select a particle on the main panel.
- Click on Change Process and then select the process you want to add to that particle.
- For adding many processes to a particle, you must have several entries for the particle in the main panel.
Helpful Links
- The Geant4 Physics Editor(GPE) is a tool that has been provided to help the users write a physics list.
- Generates C++ code
- Written in Java (needs JDK 1.2)
Checklist
- To use the GPE you need to have Java installed on your machine and download GPE.jar from http://erpc1.naruto-u.ac.jp/~geant4/index.html
setenv CLASSPATH./GPE.jar
java -green gpe- Look at slide number 24 to see an example of the main panel.
- To see an example of the particle panel, see slide number 25.
- Do you have JAVA installed on your machine in order to run the GPE? If not, see helpful links for how to install the program.
