Issues in Arms Control
Lecture by Francesco Calogero (Universita' di Roma "La Sapienza", Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, sez.Roma.)
CERN, Geneva

Summary:

These five lectures present an overview of the current situation in arms control and disarmament, with special attention given to the so-called weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical, biological). The first three lectures focus on nuclear weaponry. Lecture 4 is devoted to the other two kinds of weapons of mass destruction: chemical weapons, and biological/bacteriological weapons. Lecture 5 is a terse survey of the most important arms-control measures relevant to ‘conventional’ weapons.
